I haven't had a chance to really do a lot of photography lately, as my son keeps me quite busy!
Here are a few photos I have taken of him :)
I have a photoshoot coming up with a young male who is looking to get some photos to start his portfolio, and also a photoshoot in the summer for an old friend and her son :)

More Fluff Mail!!
I just got my Comfy Rumps and SmallSprout Diapers in the mail today!! Can't wait to prep them and try them out!
I will be doing a follow-up blog to do a honest review of these diapers.
I know what you're thinking.. Why do I have pink diapers, when I have a boy? Well funny story, I accidentaly ordered a girly print instead of a boy-ish one for one of the smallsprout diapers (Which they were very eager to fix for me, even though it was my fault!) And the to comfy rumps diapers in pink are not for Vincent, one is for my sister, and the other, is getting put away for when we decide to expand our family, and hope for a girl!
Things have been hectic lately. Life decided to throw us a curveball... so what did we do? No, we did not mope and say woe-to-me.. we hit a home run! Things are great, stressfull... but great none the less. I have been adding new iteems to my store, please go check it out!

Sending my prayers...
March 11, 2011, A 8.9 earthquake shook Japan, and the earthquake cause a massive Tsunami which swallowed the coast with its 10 meter high waves. It was shocking to hear, and even more so to see on the news and read about. It brought back feelings from when that earthquake happened in Haiti. I can't imagine going through a natural disaster like that. When I lived with my dad years ago, a tornado hit near our house. that was VERY scary, and quite a bit of damage was done, but nothing that couldn't be fixed. Haiti and now Japan, and many other places that are affected by major natural disasters, loose not only belongings ... but lives.
All of the victims of these disasters will always be in my thoughts. What happened in Japan just mere days ago is devastating and I cannot even begin to express my sadness. My heart goes out to all who were there.
I am a fan on facebook of a page called "mother of a sale". They hold amazing sales daily on products for mom and baby. Today, they are raising money that will be donated to The Canadian Red Cross . All proceeds from todays sale, will be donated to help in the relief for Japan.

All will be in my thoughts.

Practice Makes Perfect!
So in my search to make my own "perfect" pattern for the diapers I will be making and selling, I have been making diapers out of scrap matierials, old t-shirts, etc... to gain practice!
The rounded, or pointed wings don't really work for me, I prefer the square ones. And I also found that adding the elastic isn't as hard as I thought! Just takes some practice!
Things are still a little uneven but as I said.... Practice makes perfect!!!
Watch this awesome video I found (a spoof on sham-wow!) on why YOU can, and should be cloth diapering your babies!

We All Love Fluff Mail!!!
All you who cloth diaper know what I am talking about!
When you place an order for some new cloth diapers (maybe plain or with really cute designs) and you are left anxiously waiting for their arrival several days (we'll wait even WEEKS!) for our fluff mail! And then it arrives...oh the joy!!!
The great part is after looking at all your cute new diapers, you have to prep them. And there are severals ways to do it. What I do is wash 4-5 times (using diaper-safe detergent each time) rinse twice then dry twice. This... takes a long time but it is worth the trouble!
Now for fluff mail pictures!!! I ordered 6 diapers for my son, and 9 for my sister so together we wouldn't have to pay shipping on our combined large order :)
Although cloth diapers are bulky.. they sure are CUTE!
Another new thing today, I made my own pocket diaper for the first time! I bought some bamboo velour from a wonderful lady in town, and she was nice enough to give me a bunch of scraps, and even a couple peices of fleece that were pre-cut for a diaper! :) Used them to practice and I'm quite proud of myself!
I used dark thread because I was practicing, and messed up a couple times, but overall, not too bad for my first (real) diaper!
Ciao for now!

We have success! Kind of...
So.. I haven't sewn a thing in over 7 years, and today I tried to make a cloth clutch. It went well, except over 7 years I seem to have forgotten how to sew a straight line, and layer fabrics properly.
Nevertheless, I am proud of what I made today, I think its wonderful, whether the fabrics it is made out of clash or not :)
So there is my first "successful" project completed after not sewing for 7 years!
Now to keep practicing so I can start to make my own cloth diapers and other various baby items and things for mom (like this clutch)

I just dropped $100 on cloth diapers!!
11 cloth diapers for $100! that's less than $10 PER DIAPER (which they are usually in the $20-$30 range!) That's a deal! I am totally excited to give these Kawaii diapers a shot, ordered a couple different kinds from this site: http://www.theluvyourbaby.com/
I also ordered 9 diapers for my sister and our total TOGETHER was $114 including shipping!
Now I didn't get all of my cloth diapers here, I also got a couple from http://hyenacart.com/ .
So in total I have spent about $170 on fluff today I ordered a total 18 pocket or AI2s for that price! Maybe it's because I'm Canadian.. but I'm impressed!
And that is IT for MONTHS no more fluff spending!! Time to make my own diapers now that I have several different kinds to get inspration from ;)
*says in head* "I swear to not order anymore diapers for at least two months"
and repeat.
Have a nice day all and enjoy fluff hunting!!
